President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the hopes and aspirations of Maldivians for a prosperous tomorrow will be shaped by those who prioritise the nation’s progress and interests across all sectors, serving with dedication and sincerity.

The President made these remarks in a post shared today on his official X account, extending his best wishes to all Maldivian citizens on the occasion of Victory Day.

In his message, the President noted that, like national heroes such as Ali Rasgefaanu, Bodu Thakurufaanu, and Dhon Bandaarain – who placed the sovereignty and independence of the Maldives above all else – the brave patriots who defended the nation on 3 November 1988 stand as a testament that whenever the nation is in need, such heroes will always rise to answer the call. The President concluded his post by praying for the continued blessing of devoted and courageous citizens in the Maldives.

First Lady Sajidha Mohamed also shared a message on X on the occasion of Victory Day. In her post, the First Lady stated that 3 November stands as a symbol of the courage, bravery, and unwavering devotion of Maldivians to their nation and faith. She highlighted that determined and selfless individuals, willing to sacrifice their lives for their country, will always exist in the Maldives. Concluding her message, the First Lady prayed for lasting victory, prosperity, and peace for the nation, while extending warm Victory Day greetings to all Maldivians.
