President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Veymandoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of local institutions to discuss key development concerns. The meeting was held at the Veymandoo School.
During the discussions, Council members outlined the island’s most pressing development needs. They raised concerns over the shortage of available land and called for ongoing projects to proceed without delay. The council also requested the expedited construction of the mosque and the commencement of road development works. Representatives from the school highlighted space constraints and stressed the need for improved sports facilities.
The President assured participants that the Government would take their concerns into consideration. He was accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises, who also provided updates on ongoing development projects.
