President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated the Maldives national football team on winning the South Asian Super Cup 2025.
Although the national team drew with Sri Lanka in today’s match, the Maldives secured the championship with a comfortable aggregate lead. In a post on his official X account, the President expressed his pride and extended congratulations to the team on their victory.
The Government has pledged to revive and further develop football in the Maldives, aiming to restore the sport to its former glory. New facilities are also being established in Malé and across the atolls to strengthen sports development nationwide.
