President Dr Mohamed Muizzu departed this morning on a three-day visit to the inhabited islands of Alifu Alifu Atoll.

During the tour, the President will visit 8 inhabited islands of the atoll: Thoddoo, Rasdhoo, Ukulhas, Mathiveri, Bodufolhudhoo, Feridhoo, Maalhos, and Himandhoo. The President will meet with Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees (WDCs), and local residents to discuss community development needs and priorities. He will also engage directly with residents to inquire about their wellbeing.

The President is accompanied on this trip by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key Government institutions.

This visit is part of the President’s initiative to tour all Maldivian atolls and engage directly with councils at the island, atoll, and city levels.
