His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed greetings and good wishes from the Government and the people of the Maldives to His Excellency President Asif Ali Zardari and His Excellency Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Government, and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the occasion of their Independence Day.
In separate messages to the leaders, President Dr Muizzu extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, highlighting the longstanding friendship between the Maldives and Pakistan, rooted in Islamic faith and shared values. He expressed confidence that the close relations between the two countries would continue to flourish through enhanced collaboration in the future.
The President also conveyed his personal best wishes to President Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif for their good health and wellbeing, and for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the people of Pakistan.
The President also posted on his official X account, highlighting the Maldives’ solidarity with Pakistan on this momentous day and reaffirming the commitment to strengthening the bonds between the two countries.
