In this week’s radio address, President Mohamed Nasheed will especially focus on the issue of drug abuse in the Maldives. The President’s radio address will be broadcast on the Voice of Maldives at 7.15 tomorrow morning.

As tomorrow is International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, the President will highlight the work being carried out in the Maldives to counter drug trafficking and abuse in the Maldives.

In his radio address, the President will also focus on the efforts to upgrade the services of IGM Hospital, as well as on how the measures taken to address the shortage of foreign currency in the Maldives. In addition, the President will also speak on the efforts to reduce government expenditure.
