First Lady Sajidha Mohamed on Thursday expressed the deep personal connection she feels with the healthcare sector, describing it as closely tied to her memories, experiences, and emotions. She made these remarks during the 43rd anniversary celebration of Feydhoo Health Centre in Addu City.

Speaking at a ceremony held in Maradhoo-Feydhoo, Addu City, the First Lady reflected on the introduction of allopathic medicine to Feydhoo Island and the island’s current healthcare landscape. She emphasised the importance of compassion and determination in the healthcare field, highlighting the need for a calm and thoughtful approach in addressing complex issues.

The event also featured the presentation of commemorative plaques to individuals who have played a vital role in the development of the Feydhoo Health Centre. Awards were given to outstanding employees, and the First Lady honoured long-serving staff with special plaques in recognition of over 30 years of dedicated service.
