The President’s Office commenced the Executive Development Program 2025-2027 on Wednesday. The Executive Development Programme (EDP) is an initiative led by the Political Appointees Performance Management (PAPM) Unit at the Political Affairs Office (PAO), in collaboration with the Civil Service Training Institute (CSTI) and the Foreign Service Institute of Maldives (FOSIM). The inaugural session was held at the auditorium of the King Salman Mosque.

The first session of the EDP was delivered by Afeef Hussain, who spoke on the topic “Leading and Transforming a Nation Through a Service Excellence Culture.”

This session was attended by a large number of participants from all the Government ministries and institutions.

The EDP is a capacity-building initiative designed to enhance the performance of senior government executives, including political appointees in Government ministries.

The programme focuses on key areas such as enhancing managerial skills, organisational effectiveness, best practices, and inter-agency coordination.

The programme will be delivered through interactive lectures, seminars, workshops, and expert-led dialogues.
