President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has affirmed that the Administration’s primary aim, policy, and overarching goal is to increase the number of children in the country graduating as Huffaz, through the unified efforts of parents and teachers. He made this statement during his address at the Huffaz Graduation Ceremony, held on Wednesday evening at the Islamic Centre.
In his speech, the President highlighted the Administration’s ongoing initiatives to promote the teaching of the Holy Quran. In this regard, he announced that the Government is working towards the construction of a waqf building dedicated to Quranic education, a key initiative that will complement other similar efforts. He further stated that the land for the building has already been designated, and that letters to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs regarding the matter will be dispatched once Government offices reopen after the holidays.
President Dr Muizzu also emphasised the significant benefits a waqf building would bring to the nation. He underscored that the expenditure on such a project is essential, as it will serve as a valuable investment in the intellectual and spiritual development of the country.
The President also highlighted the ongoing efforts in this field and commended the Huffaz for their dedication and perseverance in reaching this significant milestone, congratulating them on their outstanding achievement.
