Vice President His Excellency Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef departed on an official visit to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Sunday to attend the World Government Summit 2025, held from February 11-13, 2025.
This year, the World Governments Summit will be held under the theme "Shaping Future Governments." The Summit will unite governments, international organisations, thought leaders, and private sector leaders worldwide to promote international cooperation and identify innovative solutions for future challenges.
The Vice President is scheduled to deliver a statement at the Climate Change Forum and hold meetings with dignitaries attending the summit.
Last year, His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the World Government Summit 2024, where he announced a vision for the Maldives' future focused on achieving sustainable development.
