President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Male' city after concluding his visit to several islands in North Thiladhunmathi Atoll. During the trip, the President visited 10 islands in the atoll and held meetings with the island councils, Women's Development Committees, and the heads of the island administrations to discuss the islands' development needs and the people's most urgent needs.
During his visit, the President actively engaged with the islands’ residents, and institutions inquiring about their plight and needs. In his address to the citizens, the President assured citizens and Councils that the administration would give full support in implementing the developmental projects.
In the three-day tour, the President and the accompanying Ministerial delegation inaugurated several development projects in various islands. The President also attended the ceremonies held to hand over ATMs to island councils. This is a key pledge of the administration, to further banking services in all inhabited islands, granting banking access easily to all citizens.
The inclusion of a Ministerial and senior official delegation in these trips served to fulfill the administration’s aims of addressing challenges promptly, addressing challenges, ensuring swift progress, and delivering rapid results.
The tour of North Thiladhunmathi Atoll is part of the series of visits to all atolls of the Maldives and meeting with local councils of atolls, islands, and cities.
