President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Male' city after concluding his visit to several islands in north Malhosmadulu. During the trip, the President visited 11 islands in the atoll and held meetings with the atoll council, island councils, Women's Development Committees, and the heads of the island administrations to discuss the islands' development needs and the people's most urgent needs.
During his visit, the President actively engaged with the islands’ residents, inquiring about their plight and needs. He also interacted with various institutions and people from different walks of life, seeking their input and involvement in finding solutions to their problems. Speaking to the public, the President highlighted some things the Government should look forward to serving the people this year. During his visit, the President assured the councils and the people of the Government's support for implementing projects in the areas most in need of the islands.
The three-day tour also saw President Dr Mohamed Muizzu inaugurating various development projects in multiple islands and launching completed services in some islands. The President reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his promises. He also participated in ceremonies to hand over ATMs to island councils, fulfilling his pledge to establish ATM services in all inhabited islands and provide banking services to all Maldivians.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu also provided insight into the reason for the involvement of various ministers in the accompanying delegation. He explained that a high-level team, including ministers and senior officials from the most relevant sectors, accompanied him during the visits to expedite the projects. The President expressed his determination to swiftly resolve any issues, move forward quickly, and achieve results rapidly.
The President's visit was part of a series of visits to all atolls of the Maldives and meeting with local councils of atolls, islands, and cities.
Ministers and heads of various Government departments accompanied the President.
