President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the R. Kinolhas Island Council, Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of institutions on Thursday to deliberate on the developmental needs and aspirations of the residential community. The meeting was held at Kinolhas School.
During the meeting, the Council shared the developmental plan of the island with the President. The plan, drawn up after intense public consultations, noted the importance of adding multi-purpose halls and classrooms, as well as the challenges facing the health centre. The Council also requested for a public library, futsal and volley courts, and an outdoor gym.
Speaking at the meeting, the President provided additional information about the developmental plans for the island through his accompanying delegation of Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials.
Prior to the Council meeting, the President had attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Council Secretariat building.
