President His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Monday extended his felicitations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of Bahrain’s National Day.

In his letters to the King and Crown Prince, the President conveyed warm greetings and sincere good wishes of the Government and people of the Maldives to His Majesty, His Royal Highness, and the people of Bahrain on the joyful occasion. He expressed confidence that the warm and brotherly relations of friendship and cooperation between the Maldives and Bahrain would reach greater heights in the coming years.

President Dr Muizzu also extended his best wishes for the good health and well-being of the King and Crown Prince, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Bahrain.

The National Day of Bahrain is celebrated on the 16th of December every year. The Maldives established diplomatic relations with Bahrain on March 24, 1980.
