President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to address the concerns of Omadhoo residents following discussions held today at the ADh. Omadhoo Island Council Office.
During the meeting, the President met with representatives from the Omadhoo Island Council, the Women's Development Committee (WDC), and heads of various local institutions to hear their concerns and aspirations for the community.
The Council identified the harbour situation as the most pressing challenge facing Omadhoo residents. They also highlighted several other critical issues, including the need to enhance the Health Centre, address land shortages, and improve school facilities. Representatives at the meeting expressed their willingness to fully cooperate with the Government's initiatives.
In response, President Dr Muizzu committed to resolving the educational challenges faced by the community. He announced that alongside the harbour project, measures would be implemented to combat coastal erosion. The President also assured attendees that he would thoroughly examine the additional concerns raised by the Council.
Cabinet Ministers accompanying the President provided updates on ongoing development projects aimed at advancing Omadhoo's infrastructure and services.
