President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Feridhoo Island Council and discussed the development needs of the island. The meeting was held at the Mathiveri Island Council Secretariat in North Ari Atoll tonight.

During the meeting, the Council members emphasised the Government's role in promoting tourism on the island and raised concerns regarding the harbour project. The members urged to accelerate ongoing projects and prioritise the road project as part of the commitments. Additionally, they highlighted the challenges faced due to the absence of a police station.

Cabinet Ministers accompanying the President shared the latest updates on projects planned for the island’s development.

Concluding the meeting, the Council expressed its gratitude to State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) for its outstanding performance in the projects carried out in the island.
