President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the National Identity Card (NID) and passport services in all Atolls. The ceremony was held at the President's Office today.
The scope of this project has been increased to include all of Male' City, as well as Laamu and Dhaalu Atolls. Additionally, passport services have been launched today in Hulhumale' Phase 1, Phase 2, Villimale', Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, and L. Fonadhoo.
During the ceremony, a roadmap was presented outlining how NID and passport services will be expanded to all atolls. By 2025, these services will be established in designated areas across each city and atoll.

March 2025 - GDh. Thinadhoo, GDh. Gahdhoo
April 2025 - S. Hithadhoo, S. Hulhumeedhoo, and Gn. Fuvahmulah
May 2025 - HA. Dhidhoo, HA. Ihavandhoo, R. Ungoofaaru and R. Alifushi
June 2025 - L. Fonadhoo, Sh. Funadhoo and Sh. Milandhoo
July 2025 - N. Velidhoo and Th. Veymandoo
August 2025 - ADh. Mahibadhoo and B. Dharavandhoo
September 2025 - Lh. Naifaru an F.Nilandhoo
October 2025 - M.Muli, AA. Rasdhoo
November 2025 -V. Felidhoo, K.Thulhusdhoo, K.Guraidhoo
This initiative is a pledge by President Dr Muizzu to provide basic services to all citizens, regardless of their location.
