President His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed sympathy and condolences to neighbouring Nepal following the devastation caused by floods and landslides recently.
In a post on his official ‘X’ account, the President said he was deeply saddened by the tragic events that have resulted in loss of lives and injuries.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to Nepali Prime Minister Honorable KP Sharma Oli and the victims' families. The President wished the injured a speedy recovery and for the missing persons to be found safely.
President Dr Muizzu noted that Nepal is a neighbour and friend of the Maldives, and that Maldives will unwaveringly stand with Nepal at this challenging time.
