President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended all three sessions of the 'Top Achievers' Award 2022-2023' ceremony, held to celebrate the outstanding performance of students in last year's higher education examinations. This marks the first time the President has attended all three sessions (morning, afternoon, and evening) of the ceremony, making it particularly significant.
First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed accompanied the President to the third and final session of the Top Achievers' Award ceremony, held this evening.
During the event to honour the 441 students from morning to evening sessions, the President presented awards and certificates to students who secured the top rank globally in higher education examinations and the prestigious national top ten.
The President's participation at all the sessions of the Top Achievers' Award ceremony underscores the importance the Administration places on the progress of the education sector and on building a generation of able youth progressing towards a path of prosperity.
Previously funded through sponsorships from both public and private sector companies, the ceremony has now been transformed into a government-sponsored grand event, as decided by the President. The prizes offered to students have also been standardised to a higher quality, providing more valuable rewards.
The President is actively working to facilitate educational opportunities and foster a robust generation of youth by promoting Islamic values, good behaviour, and nationalism.
