His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu extended felicitations to the King of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, and Prime Minister, His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, on the occasion of Malaysia's Independence Day.
In separate letters sent to the King and Prime Minister of Malaysia, President Dr Muizzu took note of the partnership between the Maldives and Malaysia, which is based on mutual respect, shared principles, and enduring people-to-people ties. He expressed confidence that the long-standing partnership between the two countries will continue to strengthen for the benefit of both countries.
The President also extended his best wishes for the King and Prime Minister's good health and well-being, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Malaysia.
