President H.E. Dr Mohamed Muizzu congratulated H.E. Dr Muhammad Yunus following his appointment as the Chief Adviser of the interim government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
In a post shared on social media platform X, President Dr Muizzu emphasized that as a longstanding friend and close partner, the Maldives wishes unity, peace, and prosperity for the people of Bangladesh under his leadership.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Bangladesh were established on September 22, 1978.
