President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has assured that this administration would provide all institutional support required by the individual state branches in securing independence. He made the pledge while addressing the nation in the official ceremony held to mark the 59th Independence Day.
In his address, the President noted the issues plaguing the judicial sector and the neglect the sector had sustained over the years. He announced that construction will begin on the superior court complex next year. The complex will be constructed in Hulhumale’ and will cater to the needs of the judicial sector professionals.
The President also assured that the administration would lend all support required for the betterment of the sector. He also pledged to bring systematic changes to the sector, increasing the public’s faith in the sector.
President Dr Muizzu further pledged to bring changes to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), making the institution independent. He shared with the public his vision for the change.
The President also pledged to create additional courts to address the needs in the judicial justice system.
