Vice President Hussein Mohamed Latheef attended the Women's Table Tennis Singles Preliminary Round match at the Paris 2024 Olympics to support Maldivian table tennis player Fathimath Dheema Ali.
The Vice President is in Paris, attending the Games at the invitation of the French Government and the International Olympic Committee.
Fathimath Dheema Ali will make history as the Maldives' first athlete to qualify for the Olympics by winning the South Asian region's Olympic Qualifying Table Tennis Final. Today, Dheema Ali is playing her debut game at the Olympics, where she will play against Katarzyna Wegrzyn of Poland.
