President H.E. Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the opening ceremony of the fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4). Upon arrival, he was received by H.E. António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) and H.E. Gaston Browne, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda.
The UN holds the International Conference on SIDS every ten years. SIDS4 is a chance for leaders and all stakeholders to come together under the theme of “Charting the Course Towards Resilient Prosperity” and work towards a more sustainable, prosperous and resilient future for SIDS.
President Dr Muizzu is scheduled to deliver his National Statement at the opening ceremony of the SIDS4.
