President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Island Council and WDC members of F. Feeali Island to discuss crucial development initiatives for the island. The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Feeali Council.
During the meeting, the Council emphasised the importance of completing land reclamation and expediting the construction of the new health centre building, as well as finding a solution to the housing crisis, addressing the shortage of school space, and starting construction on a new mosque as soon as possible. The members also indicated keenness to improve the power plant's capacity and ensure adequate ice plant services. Furthermore, the Council emphasised the significance of a new structure for the local office and the availability of RTL ferry services.
In response, the President expressed that the completion of the island's land reclamation project would align with the residents’ preferences. He further added that more development projects were underway.
