President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the L. Hithadhoo Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) members to discuss the island's pertinent concerns and development priorities. The meeting took place at the island’s Social Centre.
During the meeting, the Hithadhoo Council informed the President of the urgent developmental needs for the island's development. They relayed some of the difficulties encountered while developing roads on the island and obtaining services from public authorities.
The council also suggested upgrading the island’s Health Centre into a hospital to enhance the quality of healthcare services offered on the island. They also underscored the necessity of constructing a football field on the island. Additionally, the Council pressed the President to guarantee the island's efficient access to electricity.
President Dr Muizzu committed to addressing the concerns raised by the Council. He additionally offered updates on the Government's ongoing initiatives aimed at addressing the issues raised by the Council through the Ministers present at the meeting.
