President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Lh. Naifaru Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Secretariat of the Naifaru Island Council to discuss the island's most important developmental plans.
During the meeting, council members highlighted the need to resolve issues related to electricity and water network services, road construction and the need for specialist doctors at Lhaviyani Atoll Hospital. They further relayed the need to expand the area slated for land reclamation, the need to improve education at Naifaru School by establishing a new school or adding an extension building, the need for a Youth Centre, and other socioeconomic needs of the island community.
During the meeting, the President affirmed that the Administration would address the concerns raised by the Council. He provided the latest updates on the issues raised by the Council through the Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials present.
