President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Meemu Mulah Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) and discussed their needs and concerns with the President. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of Mulah Island Council.

At the meeting, Council Members expressed the need for the island's health centre to be upgraded to a hospital, ATM service availability, expediting the commencement of shore protection, and harbour expansion. Council members emphasised youth needs, and requested the establishment of sporting facilities and a youth centre on the island. They also shared the challenges caused by dismantling the old jetty on the island.

Speaking at the meeting, WDC members requested that their allowance be increased. Additionally, they highlighted the challenges caused by unsuitable work conditions.

During the meeting, President Dr Muizzu assured the council members that he would address their concerns. He also provided the latest updates on the issues raised by the Council through the Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials present.
