President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Dh. Maaen'boodhoo Council members to address crucial development concerns for the island. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Dhaalu Atoll Council.
During the meeting, the Council emphasised that housing and a practical waste management system were paramount concerns for residents. They requested the designation of a picnic and swimming area, expedited construction of a sports complex, and urged the prompt completion of ongoing projects. Additionally, the Council highlighted the necessity to increase allowances for individuals with disabilities.
Speaking at today's meeting, the Women's Development Committee (WDC) of Maaen’boodhoo requested the implementation of a salary for the WDC.
In response, the President expressed his commitment to resolving the issues raised by the Council. Alongside Cabinet Ministers and senior government officials, he provided updates on the Government's efforts to address the Council's concerns.
