President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Dharavandhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) to address the island's developmental priorities. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of South Maalhosmadulu Atoll.
At the meeting, council members expressed concerns over the developmental efforts of Dharavandhoo Airport. They also expressed the need for land reclamation, the construction of flats to resolve the housing issue, and expediting efforts to complete classrooms and a multipurpose hall. Council Members also highlighted concerns regarding the island's electricity network and health services.
They also emphasized the need to establish police services on the island and develop an indoor sports complex.
In response, the President assured that the Administration would seek ways to address the issues conveyed at the meeting.
