Alifushi Island Council emphasised the importance of resolving the housing problem as crucial for the island’s development. These remarks were made during a meeting with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, where both the Alifushi Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) were present.
During the meeting, Council Members addressed several issues, including finding solutions to the housing crisis, expanding land for industrial purposes, harbour modifications, waste management, and ensuring reliable electricity supply.
The discussions also delved into the needs of the island's health sector and the requirement for a conducive work environment for the WDC.
Speaking at the meeting, President Dr Muizzu stated that the Administration would thoroughly consider the issues raised by the Council.
