President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the N. Lhohi Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the N. Miladhoo FENAKA Office.
At the meeting, Council members discussed their development needs and underscored challenges faced by the island's community. Council members emphasised the island residents' aspirations for the successful completion of the water and sewerage network project.
Council members also reiterated the need for harbour expansion, shore protection, construction of a multipurpose hall and a resource room at the island school. They further highlighted the need for sports development, improved healthcare services, and the establishment of the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) ferry services in the atoll.
The Lhohi WDC members also expressed the need for ATM service availability in the island.
In response, President Dr Muizzu stated that the Administration would work towards addressing the points raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates on the Government's efforts to address the issues.
