President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the N. Holhudhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Holhudhoo Council this evening.
During the meeting, the Council discussed the island's development needs and the challenges faced by its residents. They emphasised the urgency of completing the water supply development project in Holhudhoo and urged the Government to expedite stalled projects. Additionally, the Council called upon the Administration to address erosion and swell wave surges.
Furthermore, they highlighted the necessity of constructing a modern mosque and expressed the desire to establish a campus of Maldives National University and a hostel, given the island's focus on education.
At the meeting, the Council expressed its full support for President Dr Muizzu’s Adminsitration.
Speaking at the meeting, the Women's Development Committee of Holhudhoo emphasised the inadequate office space.
In response, President Dr Muizzu assured the members that the Administration would thoroughly examine the concerns brought forward by the Council. Ministers in attendance provided updates on the Government's current initiatives to resolve the issues raised by the Council.
