President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Sh. Funadhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the North Miladhunmadulu Atoll Council.
At the meeting, Council members shared their development needs with the President. Issues raised at the meeting included establishing a youth centre, expanding the airport runway, constructing an Islamic Centre, and developing ecotourism on the island, per the President’s earlier commitment.
The Funadhoo WDC members expressed the need for sports development and sought Government support for building a "Women's Centre" on the island.
In response, the President stated that the Administration would work towards addressing the points raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates on the Government's efforts to address the issues.
