President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the HDh. Neykurandhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the secretariat of the HDh. Atoll Council.
At the meeting, members of the Council shared their developmental needs, including harbour expansion, expediting the school's new classrooms project, and relocating the FENAKA power plant away from the residential area. A modernised waste management system and health centre were also among their requirements.
Council members also noted the necessity for improvements to health facilities and the development of sports facilities at the meeting.Neykurandhoo Island's WDC members also relayed the challenges due to budgetary constraints.
President Dr Muizzu assured the Council members that he would address their concerns. Cabinet Ministers in attendance also provided updates on the Administration's ongoing efforts to resolve the issues.
