The National Awards Committee opened nominations for the ‘National Award for Public Service’ today, and published the award criteria in the Government Gazette.

Any individual who has worked for over 35 years in a government office, state owned enterprise, or a company where majority share is held by the government, is eligible for the award. Nominations may be filed by organisations or by individual nominees.

The President will award a shield, a badge of honour, and a certificate as an award for service to the Government.

The National Awards Committee would consider the quality of the nominees’ work and their contributions to the development of their respective fields. The award would also recognise the nominees’ individual achievements.

Nominations can be submitted starting today till Thursday, 28 March 2024, via the designated portal for the award: http://apply.presidency.gov.mv.
