President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the GDh. Hoadedhdhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) today. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Madaveli Island Council.

During the meeting, the council members highlighted their concerns, including tidal waves and soil erosion. They also relayed their concerns regarding the construction of the school's science lab and youth centre and the island's road improvements.

Hoadedhdhoo Island’s WDC, similar to other islands, brought up the challenges they encounter as non-civilian servants and the absence of certain benefits that other civil servants enjoy.

The President responded by stating that the WDC members' concerns needed to be addressed and that he would work to amend the law. The President added that he would attentively and carefully address the concerns brought up by the Council members.
