President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has affirmed that the construction of Gaadhiffushi School's building and all associated initiatives will receive top priority. He made this pledge while speaking with the residents of Gaadhiffushi Island in Kolhumadulu Atoll during his ongoing trip to the atoll.
In his remarks, the President articulated that the land reclamation project on the island will commence this year along with the construction of the Kolhumadulu Guraidhoo Airport. He highlighted the lack of feasibility in the construction of the island port initiated by the previous Administration and asserted the Government's commitment to advancing the project. He also reiterated the Administration's dedication to conducting development efforts in the islands.
President Dr Muizzu outlined the Government's policy to incorporate uninhabited islands within the jurisdiction of island councils, following established guidelines. He further noted that Gadhiffushi had the opportunity to seek jurisdiction under these guidelines, boosting the island's revenue and income.
