President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) of Vandhoo Island in the Kolhumadulu Atoll. The meeting was held at the Fenaka office at Vandhoo Island.

At the meeting, council members shared the most pertinent needs of the island community with the President. Council members communicated the need for an ice plant, sporting needs for youth, a children's park, and health centre upgrades. They additionally relayed difficulties posed due to space constraints and other challenges at the council secretariat.

At the meeting, the WDC members expressed concerns over the limited sporting facilities dedicated to women and budget constraints.

Speaking at the meeting, President Dr Muizzu assured the council members that the Administration will look into the concerns raised and work to find amicable solutions through established mechanisms.

A high-level government delegation accompanied President Dr Muizzu on his tour of the Kolhumadulu Atoll.
