The President and First Lady visit the Great Wall of China

H.E. President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and H.E. First Lady Sajidha Mohamed visited and toured the Great Wall at Badaling this morning.

During the visit, the President and First Lady signed the guest book. President Dr Muizzu noted the Great Wall as a historic symbol of enduring strength, human achievement and unity.

The Great Wall is a historic Chinese landmark spanning 21000 km, and considered a UNESCO heritage site for its historic, cultural and architectural significance.

The President and the First Lady are currently undertaking a state visit to the People's Republic of China at the invitation of H.E. Xi Jinping, the President of China. A high-level delegation is accompanying the President and the First Lady on this visit.
