The Vice President meets with the Gender Equality Action Plan's Steering Committee

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef met with the Gender Equality Action Plan's Steering Committee on Thursday. The meeting was held at the President's Office in the afternoon.

Discussions at the meeting focused on augmenting efforts to empower women and emphasising efforts to boost the number of female representatives at the Parliament House.

Increasing female representation at the Parliament is a key pledge outlined in the Administration's "Hafuthaa 14" roadmap.
