Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef met with the foreign cadets visiting the Maldives to participate in the 23rd National Cadet Camp. The meeting was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.

The foreign cadets participating in the 23rd National Cadet Camp include cadets from India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.

The Vice President welcomed the cadets and thanked them for visiting the Maldives. He expressed optimism that this experience would contribute significantly to the cadets’ personal growth and commended their commitment to gaining insights into shared cultural experiences. Furthermore, he encouraged the cadets to grasp this opportunity to foster a rich exchange of ideas and experiences across diverse cultures.

During the meeting, the Vice President and the cadet delegations from India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal exchanged mementoes. The attendees also thanked the Maldivian government for their excellent hospitality.

The Maldives has been hosting the National Cadet Camp annually since its inception in 1991. This year, the National Cadet Camp is held at Girifushi Island from 23rd December 2023 to 4th January 2024.
