Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef met with the members of the South Huvadhu Atoll Council during a meeting at the President's Office this morning.
At the meeting, the council members spoke on the developmental challenges faced by the constituency, including the difficulties in developing tourism and enhancing the health sector. They also emphasised the importance of continuing development projects across the sectors without delays, identifying the best ways to utilise the lagoons and uninhabited islands in the atoll, and ensuring the socio-economic progress of the atoll.
The Vice President acknowledged the developmental needs outlined by the South Huvadhu Atoll Council as crucial for advancing the atoll. He further affirmed the administration's commitment to support the council in facing its challenges. The Vice President underscored that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu held a vision for the atoll's progress and assured the plans’ execution in consultation with the community.
