President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on the public to perform the five daily prayers on time and to prevent the Fajr prayer congregations from dwindling. He made these remarks while speaking at the official function to commemorate Huravee Day, held at the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE) yesterday evening.
At the ceremony, the President stated that this Government was committed to promoting and achieving victory for the Islamic faith and its morals and reiterated his wishes for all Maldivians to follow the sacred precepts of Islam. The President added that more people turning to congregational prayer would increase the country’s blessings, joy and collective strength.
"Don't let the Fajr congregation dwindle. It is my heartfelt wish for every Maldivian family to enjoy the blessings of Fajr prayers," the President stated.
