President Dr Mohamed Muizzu decided to establish the Dhivehi National Heritage Research Centre, the Dhivehi National Heritage College and the Dhivehi National Publisher to revive patriotism, per national policy. The decision was made at today’s Cabinet meeting following discussions on a paper submitted by the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage.

The paper submitted by the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage highlighted the responsibilities of these three institutions. These are vital elements of the revival of patriotism as part of the Administration’s 'Hafuthaa 14' roadmap.

The Dhivehi National Heritage College, overseen by the Ministry of Language, Culture, and Heritage, aims to generate academically qualified personnel and teach the public about indigenous identity and culture.

The Dhivehi National Heritage Research Center's responsibility is to keep creating, inventing, and maintaining the knowledge of indigenous identity. This entails gathering academic data, conducting research and producing academic papers, publishing findings, planning scholastic gatherings on patriotism, and raising awareness and instilling nationalism.

Likewise, the role of the Dhivehi National Publisher is to publish and disseminate works by Maldivians produced via the new initiative.
