President Dr Mohamed Muizzu appointed Ali Shareef as the Special Envoy for Climate Change and State Ministers to several government ministries on Wednesday. The ceremony to present the letters of appointment was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.

The appointments made by President Dr Muizzu today are as follows:

  2. Minister of State for Economic Development and Trade – Mohamed Thariq Ahmed
  3. Minister of State for Fisheries and Ocean Resources – Dr Amzath Ahmed
  4. Minister of State for Sports, Fitness and Recreation – Abdul Razak Ibrahim
  5. Minister of State for Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage – Mohamed Shahuruzziyad
  6. Minister of State for Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development – Mariyam Fizaana Rashyd
  7. Minister of State for Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development – Dr Abdul Raheem Hasan
