President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has mandated the continuous hoisting of the national flag at all government institutions, effective today. Traditionally, the national flag was raised from 6 am to 6 pm daily.
This decision, articulated in President Dr Muizzu's inaugural address delivered upon assuming office, underscores the commitment to a continuous display of our cherished national flag. He emphasised that the sun will now never set on this esteemed symbol, which will proudly flutter in every island of the Maldives.
