President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the Commander-in-Chief of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), has appointed Major General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef as the Chief of Defence Force.
The appointment was made following the retirement of the former Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant General Abdulla Shamaal.
Major General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef was presented with his letter of appointment at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this evening. He was appointed at the state minister level.
