President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated several newly completed infrastructure projects on Kendhoo Island in Baa Atoll on Tuesday. These include the island's coastal protection, football ground, and volleyball court. The President inaugurated these facilities during his ongoing visit to the islands of Baa Atoll.

The coastal protection project was completed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The project features a 210-metre revetment, a 754-metre sea wall, and an 800-square-metre swimming area.

The newly inaugurated football ground on Kendhoo Island, layered with turf, features state-of-the-art amenities and facilities. The administration contracted its development to Myna Sports Field Pvt. Ltd. President Solih inaugurated the modern volleyball court on the island, developed by Maldives Assure Supply. These developments represent significant investments in the well-being and development of the local community.

The administration has implemented various initiatives to provide modern football grounds, futsal fields, and sports courts across the atolls. These efforts are designed to promote healthy and active lifestyles among young people, foster the development of local athletic talent, and create a more vibrant and active community. By providing access to high-quality sports facilities, these initiatives are helping to achieve these goals.
