President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the new football and volleyball courts on Wednesday on Bodufolhudhoo Island and marked the completion of the water supply network on Mathiveri Island in Alifu Alifu Atoll. The President is currently conducting a tour of several islands in the atoll.

The newly inaugurated football ground on Bodufolhudhoo Island, layered with turf, features state-of-the-art amenities and facilities. Alioth Investment Pvt. Ltd. laid the subbase layer, while Amin Construction Pvt. Ltd. installed the turf ground. These enhancements will provide an improved sporting experience for athletes and sports enthusiasts on the island. The island's newly developed volleyball court was also constructed to modern standards. The Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) was contracted to develop the water supply network on Mathiveri Island.

Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has made significant strides towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
